Homeschool Parents and Kids!

Climbing offers great physical exercise, fun problems to solve and a social environment to bond with others and de-stress! Take advantage of enjoying our climbing facility in the mornings or early afternoons while it’s less busy.

We are an approved vendor with Class Wallet for homeschool families to use ESA funds and the ESA debit card!

We'd love to offer instruction and share climbing, yoga and aerial yoga with your family! Here are our offerings:

Homeschool Specials

Homeschool Climb Time

  • Monday through Friday before 3pm ($17/climber)

    • Meetup with other homeschool families and climb as long as you’d like.

  • $5 is our discounted rate for families renting shoes and harnesses.

    • We also sell youth climbing shoes and harnesses :-)

  • Parents can belay their kids on top ropes after passing our belay test. Parent supervision is required as we do not allow unsupervised climbing.

Private Lessons Class

  • Reserve 1 on 1 time with one of our coaches to provide you an intro to rock climbing class. Your child(ren) will learn the basics of climbing movement, footwork and more from one of our youth coaches.

    • Reserve one of our coaches for $50/hour plus $25/climber which includes harness and shoe rentals. Email Staff@GeckoClimbingGym.com to setup your private class!

Homeschool Youth Climbing Team with Coaches

  • Every Monday through Friday from 12:00-1:30pm (Newest team times of Friday 10:30am-12pm and 1:30-3pm just added!)

    • Parents, go enjoy lunch with other homeschool parents while your kids enjoy their climbing teams. Or you can stay and climb as a parent with a membership or day pass! We also have comfy couches and free guest wifi for you to relax on while teams are in session.

    • Our Youth Team options are:

      • $130/month for one day per week Team’s Membership

      • $190/month for two days per week Team’s Membership

      • $250/month for three days per week Team’s Membership

      • In addition to the scheduled class times with our coaches, our Team Memberships include the standard Youth Membership with unlimited access to climbing, free yoga classes, guest passes and more!

      • SIBLING DISCOUNT = $20 off per month per person

      • BYOSH Discount = $10 off per month per person

      • BYOSH = Bring Your Own Shoe & Harness

Other Membership Options

  • Youth Membership is $85/month and includes unlimited climbing for those ages 4-17.

  • Parents can signup with their child with a Belationship (2 names) for $170/month.

  • Our Family Membership (3 names) are $240/month and each additional climber is $40/month.

  • All memberships include unlimited access to climbing, free gear rentals, free yoga classes, 1 guest pass per person per month and more.

Definitions on Activities We Offer

  • Bouldering is climbing without ropes on our 15ft walls.

  • Individual climbers clip into Autobelays which takes up the slack in the rope as they climb and lowers them slowly when they fall or release from the wall. We have 10 autobelays with multiple routes offered on each autobelay.

  • For climbers to use Top Ropes, the one belaying another climber must pass our certification test to belay. We offer a Top Rope Belay Class for parents for $10 (1/2 hour class) which opens up more rope climbs for the kids!

  • Swing from grip to grip on our Hanging Ninja Course!

  • Whether you are new or experienced, our Yoga Classes provide our climbers with good flexibility, mobility, breath control and coordination to improve in their climbing athletics.

  • We also offer Aerial Yoga which involves yoga body postures while hanging in silk hammocks!

Orientation Video & Waivers

We encourage all families to watch our orientation video and complete their parent profiles and sign the waivers before their arrival (if they haven't already). This will ensure a speedy check in process and get your family climbing sooner! This also can be done at Gecko if you prefer.

  • Parents start by creating their parent profile in our customer portal (https://gecko.portal.approach.app/), then add their child to their household, then sign the waiver on their behalf.

  • (If you are having issues using your phone to register, we recommend using a desktop computer as our mobile platform requires you to enable pop-ups for the waiver).
