Gecko Climbing Gym is the result of countless hours and dozens of individuals collaborating together to create a North Phoenix community climbing center. Our mission, through the sport of climbing, is to help YOU elevate your life, rise above your crux and inspire the world to ascend.

Competitions

We are excited about hosting and participating in USA Climbing competitions as well as hosting community competitions with categories such as “Just for Fun” and “Elite Climbers” competing for cash prizes.

Our long term goal is to get a Crag’n Wagon. This is a climbing wall that fits inside a semi-truck and gets assembled on the side of a shipping container. This would allow us to host climbing competitions anywhere around Arizona or anywhere we can drive it!

Gecko Adventures

Would you like to try climbing outside but not sure how to start? Get your friends together and let our professional climbing guides show you the ropes! We know the best spots in Arizona to take you, whether it’s locally around Phoenix or involves a mini road trip to Prescott, Flagstaff, Payson or Tucson. We’ll prioritize your safety, provide proper instruction and make sure your experience is one to remember!

Symposiums

The world of climbing is booming and there is LOTS to talk about. We will invite a variety of guest speakers who are experts in their fields to lead a conversation and help develop your knowledge of climbing, training, nutrition, injury prevention, wilderness activities and more!

Yoga

Aerial - Climber’s Yoga - Hatha - Parent and Me “Kid’s Yoga” (2-5) - Restorative Teen Yoga (12-15 & 16+)- Vinyasa - Youth Climbing Team Yoga

Our yoga flooring is 1.25” cushioned, dry, anti-microbial, anti-slip, high-performance athletic foam to help our guests feel comfortable with a stable, low-impact base that provides shock absorption, is comfortable, supportive and easy on joints.

Parties & Groups

We have a large dedicated room for groups to gather for birthday parties, corporate team building outings, Scouts, youth groups, bachelor or bachelorette celebrations, you name it!

Youth Climbing Teams

All youth are welcome to join one of our climbing teams differentiated by age and ability. Whether your child is looking to explore a new fun sport, make friends or they have ambition to become the next USA Climbing champion, we have you covered!

Consider the Benefits

Our youth training programs focus on developing a climber’s foundation of basic and intermediate climbing technique through games, drills and coaching. Through experiential and interactive learning, your child will develop leadership skills, confidence and teamwork by bonding with their teammates and challenging each other through climbing.

Youth & Families

Parent and Me Groups
Our kids’ climbing area is made for littles and their parents to play on with protective padding. It includes a 6-8ft tall boulder with a slide to come down! We will have groups for families with littles to enjoy age appropriate climbing activities for 0-6 year olds.

Family Friendly
We believe in supporting families. You’re trying hard to raise healthy kids and we want to come alongside you and provide a positive and encouraging environment. We also know how much they cost! Therefore, our best deals are our Family Memberships and Family Day Passes. Parents that are designated belayers for their kid(s) will have the adult day pass waived and only need to rent a harness and belay device ($7).

Climbing Academy

The Climbing Academy offers a variety of classes for all levels, designed to take your climbing story into the next chapter.

Summer Camp

To kick off our first Summer Camp, our theme will be INSPIRE!! Our goal at Gecko is to be a climbing community that inspires others with how we live our lives and the positive difference we can make in the world together.

We are excited to offer these day camp options for kids while parents work throughout the summer. We offer full and half-day options including a variety of activities from rock climbing, indoor and outdoor group games, crafts, and even kids yoga!

Signup for a full week, recurring days over the summer, or individual dates that help meet your family’s needs!

We have full and part-time positions available for youth coaches, routesetters, yoga instructors, climbing instructors, marketing and management. We take pride in our staff and value teamwork as we share our passion of climbing with others. As part of our staff, you will be community leaders making a positive impact locally and around the world. Imagine leading a mentoring program for at-risk-youth in Phoenix or leading a trip to South Africa to create first-time climbing experiences for those who have never ventured out of their villages or townships. We will create an amazing impact in the North Phoenix community, but our reach doesn’t stop there.
