the Climbing Academy offers a variety of classes for all levels, designed to take your climbing story into the next chapter

intro to top rope

If the ropes have been calling your name and you’d like to try routes other than the auto-belay routes, this class is for you! Grab a staff member and we’ll spend about 20-30 minutes with you to get you Top Rope Certified!

COST: $25/person ($15 for members)

lead climbing

This lead climbing/belaying class will teach you the skills to lead climb in the gym! All participants are required to be top-rope belay certified at Gecko as well as climb at least at the 5.9 level.

COST: $75 members; $120 non-members

TIME: 2-3 hours

This class requires at least 2 students to run or will require an additional staff member for $20 to climb while the student belays and the main instructor provides the private lesson. Large group discounts are available. Email Staff@GeckoClimbingGym.com to schedule your lead climbing class!

7 week classes for adults

Our 7 week group session classes focus on expanding your climbing knowledge and skill set as well as creating community and climbing partners! We offer a 7 week class package for beginner adults as well as a 7 week class package for intermediate level adults.

COST: $140 members; $280 non-members

TIME: 1 hour/week for 7 weeks
